Man assaulted in Rainham- two men arrested on suspicion of robbery.

Police cordoned off a car wash in New Road, Rainham yesterday evening after reports of a man being assaulted.

A spokesperson for the Met told the Havering Daily:

“Police were called at approximately 18:00hrs on Tuesday, 20 April to reports of a man assaulted in New Road, Rainham.

“Officers attended and two men – no further details – were arrested close to the scene on suspicion of robbery. Both remain in custody.

“The victim’s injuries are not life threatening.

“Enquiries into the circumstances continue.”
