Basking Babies Xmas Dress Up for GOSH Never Far Away: Essex Appeal
This month local business Basking Babies is hosting a festive dress up to raise money for Great Ormond Street Hospital’s, Never Far Away: Essex appeal.
Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity’s Never Far Away: Essex Appeal, a branch appeal of GOSH charity is aiming to raise £300,000 over the next few years, and the wonderful team at Basking Babies are determined to help them!
Despite the challenges 2020 has thrown them the determined and dedicated team of 13 franchisees who teach Baby Massage, Baby Reflexology and Baby Yoga classes across Essex have run various events to raise money for the charity. The main aim of the appeal is to raise funds to help provide free, nearby accommodation for Essex families whose babies and children are undergoing lifesaving treatment at Great Ormond Street Hospital.
Who could imagine having to leave their sick child’s side to take the last train home each evening? Or the stress of having to fork out enormous amounts of money to pay for days, weeks or months worth of overnight accommodation in central London just to have the luxury of a bed and a shower? It doesn’t bear thinking about, which is why the Basking Babies team have been supporting this particular charity since its launch in 2018.
The Basking Babies December fundraiser involves having all the babies that attend their classes dress up in their best Christmas outfits for the final classes of the year, creating the cutest photo opportunities you will ever see! Earlier this summer during the first lockdown, the Basking Babies team were busy providing an entire day packed full of free, online Baby Massage, Baby Yoga and Baby Reflexology courses for the parents of Essex and beyond, in aid of the appeal and raised over £800 with this one event. They are hoping to have a similarly successful December.
