Tandoori Lounge wins Good Food award two years in a row.
The Tandoori Lounge in High Street Hornchurch has won its second Good Food award two years in a row.
The Punjabi restaurant is no stranger to winning awards, having won an award every year since it opened three years ago.
Owner Honey Uppal told the Havering Daily: “The first year we opened we won the Havering Nightlife award and now for the last two years we have won the Good Food award.”

The Tandoori Lounge has an amazing story behind it. The restaurant was opened as a tribute to Honey’s mother in law who loved cooking and was well known for her amazing dishes.

“Neither my husband nor myself had any experience in this field, we decided to open up the Tandoori Lounge in memory of my husband’s mother and remember her by cooking amazing dishes in her honour.”
The restaurant prides itself in cooking traditional Punjabi and Northern Indian cuisine that is freshly cooked from scratch on charcoal to give it that authentic taste.
This fantastic family owned restaurant is currently opened Friday and Saturday only for take away’s due to the Covid restrictions.
The team also gave out endless free meals throughout the lockdown periods to NHS staff and other emergency services to provide community support.
If you fancy a Friday night take out and enjoy traditional Indian cuisine, then please visit the Tandoori Lounge in Hornchurch and help support our local businesses.
