A Sycamore Trust team joined staff from Mullis & Peake LLP solicitors in Romford recently to raise funds for the Sycamore Trust with a scavenger hunt.
Around two dozen staff from the solicitors set out from their head office in Eastern Road last night at 5.30pm with just an hour to complete a series of tasks, involving finding and photographing items and points of interest in Romford. Mullis & Peake nominated the Sycamore Trust as their charity of the year for 2019/2020 and this is the latest in a series of fund raising events that have taken place.
The majority of the scavenger hunt questions centred around the Market Place with some relating to buildings and businesses in the Brewery and some in the Liberty Shopping Centre.
The Sycamore team of Robert Lamb and Steve Dixon set about their tasks with enthusiasm, and completed around three quarters of the tasks, before making it back to the M&P reception with just seconds to spare.
Regrettably, the Sycamore team finished fourth out of five. Steve said ‘One the one hand, we were just outside the medal places, on the other hand, we finished second from bottom! More importantly, it was great fun, and it has raised vital funds for the Sycamore Trust and we’re really grateful for the time and effort of the M&P staff.’
