Bereaved Havering Mum’s Mission To Save Lives Continues With Bleed Kit Donation To Kevin Mitchell’s New Boxing Gym.
A Havering mother whose life was shattered by knife crime continues to turn unimaginable heartbreak into hope by helping protect others across the borough.

Sue Hedges and her daughter April have dedicated their lives to campaigning against knife crime following the tragic loss of Sue’s son, Ricky Hayden, who was fatally stabbed in 2016.
Through the Ricky Hayden Memorial, the mother and daughter have become tireless advocates for tackling knife crime, raising awareness of its devastating consequences while ensuring communities have access to life-saving equipment when it is needed most.
Yesterday, their campaign reached another important milestone as they donated a Daniel Baird Foundation bleed kit to the newly opened boxing gym of former British boxing champion Kevin Mitchell at Damyns Hall Aerodrome in Upminster.
