NewHavering Museum To The Rescue! Volunteers Provide Much Needed Shelter To Local Residents.

Havering Museum is open, notwithstanding the heatwave. And thank goodness we are because on Tuesday 24 June, volunteers provided local residents with shelter from the scorching sun when they were evacuated from their High Street homes and offices during a fire emergency. We hope they will come back and visit us another time in less worrying circumstances.

Directors of the Museum, are so proud of the volunteers who provided seating and cool water for wilting residents during the hottest part of the day whilst they waited for the “all clear.”

Thank you to Ann Young, Graham, Andrew and Evelyn. Top team!

If you want to get out of the heat and enjoy an hour in a cool and pleasant environment, drop in and see us at the Museum. You can find us at 19-21 High Street, Romford, RM1 1JU by the Brewery Gate.

Unlike other attractions children accompanied by adults and under the age of 16 are admitted free. Adult entry is only £3. More details can be found on the website.https://www.haveringmuseum.org.uk/
