“Environmental Disaster”: Havering Campaigner Leads Fight To Protect Rainham Residents’ Health.

Ruth Kettle-Frisby from Clear the Air in Havering has been working with Centric Lab to support Rainham residents and the London Fire Brigade by providing tools and information to monitor their own and their children’s long-term health impacts from this environmental disaster. 

Toxic air impacts children, people with existing health conditions and the elderly the hardest and the goal of sharing these resources is to empower residents impacted by toxic smoke from the illegal landfill site on Arnold’s Field in practical ways, in terms of:

• validating physical and mental health impacts and concerns 
• monitoring symptoms 
• building cases both for appropriate medical treatment, and statutory accountability
