Appeal For Witnesses: Boy, 14, Taken To Hospital After E-Scooter Collision With Van In Collier Row
A 14-year-old boy remains in hospital after an e-scooter was involved in a collision with a van in Collier Row.
Police were called at 5.46pm on Tuesday 16 June following reports of a road traffic collision in Collier Row, Romford.
The incident involved a van and an e-scooter.
Emergency services attended the scene and the rider of the e-scooter, a 14-year-old boy, was taken to hospital for treatment.
Police have confirmed that the teenager’s injuries are not believed to be life-threatening, and he remains in hospital.
Following the collision, the road was closed while officers carried out enquiries at the scene.
The road has since been reopened.
The driver of the van, a 55-year-old man, was arrested in connection with driving offences and remains in police custody while investigations continue.
Police enquiries into the circumstances surrounding the collision are ongoing.
