Dagenham Hosts Manchester City Women’s WSL Title Celebrations After Historic Triumph.

Manchester City Women brought their Women’s Super League title celebrations to Dagenham as players, staff and supporters packed into The Pipe Major pub for an afternoon of singing, speeches and emotional scenes with fans and family.

The local venue was transformed into a sea of sky blue as chants echoed around the packed pub following City’s title-winning campaign, with supporters travelling from across the country to celebrate alongside the team.

One of the standout moments of the afternoon came when the manager addressed supporters directly, thanking fans for their backing throughout the season as the crowd erupted into applause and chants.

Midfielder Sam Coffey said the dramatic title race reflected the growing competitiveness of the women’s game.

“It’s anyone’s ball game,” she said. “It just shows how competitive it is.”

She also praised the atmosphere inside the venue, describing the celebrations created by supporters as “incredible”.

Players were seen celebrating with family members throughout the afternoon, taking photos with supporters and joining in with chants.

Fans Ben and Florence, who travelled down from Manchester for the event, said it was unforgettable.

“It’s been a very loud atmosphere all day,” they said. “We travelled down from Manchester because we wanted to be part of it.”

The event also proved a proud moment for local staff working the celebrations.

Tom, head of security at the venue, said: “It’s nice to be part of the community. We’ve only been established for just over a year and we’ve never had an opportunity like this before.”

For one afternoon, Dagenham became the centre of the Women’s Super League celebrations, bringing a huge sporting occasion directly into the heart of the local community.
