Police step up crime prevention drive as Rainham residents attend fantastic Tesco safety event

Officers from the Beam Park, Rainham and Wennington and South Hornchurch ward teams joined forces at Tesco Rainham on Saturday 9 May for a community crime prevention event aimed at helping residents stay safe and protect their property.

The event saw officers speaking directly with local residents, offering practical advice on home security, vehicle crime prevention and personal safety, while also answering concerns raised by members of the community.

Residents were able to meet their local policing teams face to face, discuss issues affecting the area and receive guidance on how to reduce the risk of becoming victims of crime.

The event forms part of ongoing efforts by local officers to strengthen relationships within the community while promoting crime prevention and reassurance policing across Havering.

Residents and shoppers welcomed the visible police presence, with many taking the opportunity to speak directly with officers about local concerns and neighbourhood issues.
