Two dogs currently in the care of Dogs Trust Basildon are looking for loving homes this month, each hoping to find patient adopters who can give them the support and stability they need.

Misha

Misha is a gorgeous nine-year-old Husky with bundles of energy and a love of the outdoors. Misha is confident and friendly when meeting new people, but she isn’t a dog who enjoys being overly cuddled or fussed. She can feel worried around handling, particularly at the vets, so she will need patient, understanding adopters who are happy to give her space and allow her to feel safe and secure at her own pace.

Misha will need a good supply of tennis balls as she loves a game of fetch. She is good with dogs and can enjoy walking buddies, but she would prefer to be the only dog in the home, and she can live with older teenagers, who will give her the time and space to settle in.

Buster

Buster is a three-and-a-half-year-old dog looking for a patient and understanding home where he can continue to grow in confidence. He is friendly when meeting new people, though a little shy at first, and will soon come over for a fuss once he feels comfortable.

Buster is looking for a committed home that can provide him with structure, reassurance, and time to adjust. Having never been left alone in his previous home, he currently finds being alone a little stressful, so any time spent alone will need to be built up slowly and with patience.

Little Buster can be startled by sudden noises or movements, so he would be happiest living with secondary school-aged children who understand how to respect his space and boundaries, giving him the loving home he deserves.

If you think you can give these beautiful dogs their forever home, contact the Dogs Trust Balsildon on 0303 003 0000 (Phone lines open everyday from 8.30am to 5pm) or email info@dogstrust.org.uk

About Dogs Trust

Dogs Trust is the UK’s largest dog welfare charity and cares for around 11,000 dogs every year across its network of 21 rehoming centres in the UK and one in Dublin. Dogs Trust has a non-destruction policy and will never put a healthy dog to sleep. The charity also focuses its efforts on understanding dogs and sharing that knowledge with the wider public to prevent problem behaviours that can result in relinquishment or abandonment. We are working towards the day when all dogs can enjoy a happy life, free from the threat of unnecessary destruction.
