Havering’s golden girl, Brock Whiston, has once again made the borough proud, securing her place to represent Great Britain at the prestigious World Para Swimming Championships in Singapore this September.

A proud Collier Row resident, Brock cemented her place in sporting history at the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games, winning gold in the SM8 200m individual medley just two days after claiming silver in the SB8 100m breaststroke. These remarkable performances earned her the title of Havering’s most decorated Paralympian – a distinction she holds with pride and humility.

Her latest selection for the World Championships is another huge milestone in what has already been an extraordinary career. Competing against the world’s best, Brock will look to add to her impressive medal haul while continuing to inspire the next generation of athletes across the borough.

Brock’s achievements have brought not only medals but also a sense of pride to Havering, proving what can be achieved through dedication, perseverance, and passion. The entire borough will no doubt be cheering her on when she dives into the pool in Singapore this September.
