Beam Park Labour Councillors Trevor McKeever and Matthew Stanton have been listening to local residents regarding lighting and safety issues in the ward and their concerns over certain areas. Following their intervention, Havering Council has now added additional lighting.

“We were accompanying our local police Safer Neighbourhood Team and local residents on a walk of the area, and it was highlighted to us that where the footpath is set back from the road due to the presence of the cycle lane and a grass verge, that it was not particularly well lit. We brought this up with Havering and are pleased to see additional lighting installed and working”, said Councillor Trevor Mckeever.

“We want to hear from residents about any lighting issues in the ward, so we can pass them on to Havering or the relevant organisation. Whether its broken lighting, or somewhere you think needs additional lighting, or even vegetation cutting back, please let us know,” said Councillor Matt Stanton.
