Residents can have their say on how they feel about crime and community safety in a survey by the Havering Community Safety Partnership.

The online survey will help to shape the work of the partnership, which includes representatives from the Council, Metropolitan Police, London Fire Brigade plus probation, health and neighbourhood groups.

The online survey will ask residents to give their views about crime, anti-social behaviour and other local issues.

It will help to give the partnership a bigger picture of what issues there are, what needs to be prioritised and how they can best work together to tackle those issues and help to prevent the threat of crime.

Councillor Gillian Ford, Deputy Leader of Havering Council, said:

“We want to know what the concerns and priorities of our residents are, so we can look to tackle issues that are affecting them.

“As a partnership, we’re already doing a lot to help make our borough as safe as possible. But we know there is more that can be done.

“This survey is to find out what the concerns are in different areas, whether it be anti-social behaviour, vehicle crime or something else. Tell us about it.

“It will enable us as a partnership to make better informed decisions, improve our work and help ensure that we are fighting the right crime in the right areas.”
The survey is running until Friday 28 June.

Councillor Gillian Ford HRA invites Residents to ‘have our say’ on crime and safety but she adamantly refuses to consult us about the supposed ‘Climate Emergency’ declared on our behalf by Havering Councillors in March 2023. Why is this?
Not one single Councillor (out of 55) voted AGAINST this decision to declare an ‘Emergency’.
    I find this strange/odd/unusual.

I have asked Councillor Ford to assist me carry out a Residents survey in her Cranham Ward to find out if they believe there is an ‘EMERGENCY’. I invited her to help me re setting the question(s) and deciding the sample-size but she simply refuses to co-operate.

Would The Havering Daily consider conducting a Borough-wide survey of Resident’s attitudes regarding The (supposed) Climate Emergency in Havering?
(our Councillors seem desperate to AVOID talking about their declaration).
