Saint Francis Hospice Team Win Award For Outstanding Care.

The community care team at Saint Francis Hospice was recently awarded the Certificate of Excellence from iWantGreatCare in recognition of consistently outstanding patient feedback.

iWantGreatCare is a trusted review site where patients can leave feedback about encounters with healthcare professionals. It helps us gather honest feedback and highlights potential areas for improvement.

This certificate represents the excellent care the team provides daily to patients referred for specialist palliative care.

Team Leaders, Maria Stripe and Jane Elmer, said, “We could not be more proud of a team that has worked solidly throughout the pandemic, coping with increased complex telephone calls and staffing resources due to recruitment challenges during and after the pandemic.

“We would like to thank the wonderful support given by the medical team, doctors Gemma, Andy, Anushka and consultants Corinna and Pippa and the marvellous team in the Referral Hub.”

Sam Moss, Senior Specialist Advice Line Nurse, said: “I feel very proud to be part of our hardworking team who have received this award. I see how dedicated they are and this is reflected when I take telephone calls from patients/carers and other professionals who constantly sing the team’s praises.”
