Rainham Road closed due to collision as driver suffers medical episode.

Rainham Road is closed following a collision in the early hours of this morning. London Air Ambulance attended after a man in his 30s is believed to have suffered a medical episode.

A spokesperson for the Met Police told the Havering Daily:

“Police were called at 01:57hrs on Friday, 3 March, to reports of a collision in Rainham Road, Rainham.

“Officers attended along with the London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance.

“Initial enquiries suggest the collision occurred after the driver, a man aged in his 30s, suffered a medical episode. We await an update on his condition.

“No other serious injuries were reported and no other vehicles were involved.”

Road closures are in place near to the junction with the A1306 and enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances. Any witnesses are asked to call 101 quoting CAD 486/03Mar.
