Andrew Rosindell, Member of Parliament for Romford, has expressed his deep concern following the stabbing that took place in Romford last night. The incident saw three teenagers hospitalised after being attacked in South Street, Romford.

This has occurred following another stabbing in Hornchurch last week.

Mr Rosindell has called for an increased police presence in the town to address the growing concerns of residents about crime and anti-social behaviour. He believes that more visible policing on the streets is necessary to deter and prevent criminal activity.

Speaking about the stabbing, Mr Rosindell said: ” It is deeply worrying to hear about yet another violent incident in our community. I am shocked and appalled by the stabbing attack at ‘Popeye’s’ in South Street, Romford, last night, which has left three teenagers injured. My thoughts are with the victims and their families, but my priority will be to make Romford safe for all local people.”

He added: ” It is unacceptable that violent crime continues to plague our streets, last week in Ardleigh Green, this week in Romford town centre.  Action must be taken to address this issue. The local community deserves to feel safe, and we must do everything in our power to ensure that our streets are free from violence and crime.”

Mr Rosindell has pledged to work closely with the police and other local authorities to ensure that the necessary measures are put in place to address the issue of violent crime in the town. He has, in the past, also called on the Home Office and the Mayor to provide additional funding to support the police in their efforts to keep our communities safe.

“Havering is starved of adequate Policing.  We are simply not given the support our town borough needs to keep our streets safe.  The government have recruited thousands more Police, but it is the Mayor of London who is ultimately responsible for policing in ‘Greater London’ and we in Havering are never prioritised.”

“I call on the Mayor of London to act immediately to increase the number of Police Officers on our streets in Havering and to provide them with the resources they need to do their job effectively. This will enable them to proactively identify and tackle the root causes of violent crime and ensure that those who perpetrate such heinous acts are brought to justice.”

In conclusion, Mr Rosindell stated: “We cannot allow violent crime to become a regular occurrence in our town. Decisive action now to ensure that our community is a safe and welcoming place for everyone. We must stand united in the fight against violent crime and make our town a safer place for all its residents and visitors.”

Mr Rosindell, it’s always someone else’s fault isn’t it, never yours or your supporters ?

Was not Romford M.P. ANDREW ROSINDALE the M.P. who demanded that the Metropolitan London Borough of Havering, become Essex Police? He no longer wanted the Metropolitan London Borough of Havering to be policed by the Metropolitan Police? He wanted to return the Metropolitan London Borough of Havering to be fully controlled by Essex County Council? How few Police Officers does ANDREW ROSINDALE want, if the Essex Police Constabulary took over policing the Metropolitan London Borough of Havering? Major cutbacks/redundancies to to Police Officer numbers would have to be made if Essex Police Constabulary took over policing the Metropolitan London Borough of Havering! Essex Police Constabulary has a lot lower quantity of Police Officers per square mile than the Metropolitan Police at any time of day!
Why does Andrew ROSINDALE M.P. demand that the Metropolitan London Borough of Havering be transferred to Essex County Council and Essex Police Constabulary, if this results in in far fewer Police Officers patrolling the Borough? How rational is that?
