‘Another Tory MP demonstrates that they just don’t get how the cost of living crisis is hitting families’-Jon Cruddas MP.

Furious residents here in Havering have hit back at comments made by Tory Safeguarding Minister Rachel Maclean who yesterday stated that people should increase their hours or move to a better paid job to fight the cost of living crisis.

Angry local residents here branded the minister ‘uneducated, ill informed, incompetent, out of touch with reality, and a complete moron,’ following her words on Sky news.

The cost of living crisis is hitting people right across the country severely and that includes Havering residents who already work long hours to keep a roof over their head and food on the table.

Dagenham and Rainham MP Jon Cruddas told the Havering Daily:

“Another day and another Tory MP demonstrates that they just don’t get how the cost of living crisis is hitting families.

The latest is Rachel Maclean, a government Home Office Minister, who said people should get a better paid job or work more hours.

Many of my Dagenham and Rainham constituents need real help with the cost of living, not lectures from out of touch Tories. Implementing a windfall tax on the oil and gas industry that is making massive profits and using the money raised to reduce energy bills would be a practical first step.”

Don’t you realise that some of these cost of living rises are the result of international problems in another country that is causing the crisis? I find it really irritating that people like you keep expecting things to be fixed by the state when they can’t. If you know how to stop the war in Ukriane that is causing the cost of food and fuel to rise then maybe you believe we should appease Putin and let him snatch Ukriane. I’d rather invent a solution and listen to something sensible that can give better my solution from the Conservative government, then pleasure a beast in return for cheap fuel.

Besides your party openly defended lockdowns and Covid restrictions that crippled the country and led to inflation as well. You keep what you sow.

Tory MP have to live on basic benefits or low wages before they make a decision or comments on other people’s way of living how to live a life.
Everyone wants the a life and job of MP so can have a better life.
People are not asking gold they are asking for basic things in life to live a diginfied life.
Lets not advice let’s bring better conditions for families.
