Local pool company raises £7k for Ukraine Appeal.

Like most people watching the news recently talking about the war in Ukraine, local swimming pool business owner, George Clifton from Hornchurch felt compelled to help to support the Ukraine during a very difficult time.

He came up with the idea of selling one of his prestige hot tubs and donating the full purchase price of £7,000 directly to the British Red Cross Ukrainian Appeal.

The word was spread successfully and It reached out to a long standing pool client Tony Thorogood of Emerson Park.

Tony, too felt he should be helping the Ukranian people and despite not having an immediate need for a hot tub spa (indeed, it will be put in storage until such time as Tony can make use of it) he decided a worthy cause like this was deserving his support.

Well done to George from Centurion Leisure and Tony for buying a hot tub when he didn’t need one to help the people of the Ukraine. You are both community heroes.
