Man assaulted with wooden object in Rainham.

Cherry Tree Lane was partly closed yesterday Sunday 15 May, following the assault of a man. The incident happened just before 1pm when a man is believed to have been struck with a wooden object.

A spokesperson for the Met told the Havering Daily:

“At 12:48hrs on Sunday, 15 May police were called to Cherry Tree Lane, Rainham following reports of an assault.
Officers attended but could find neither a victim nor suspect.
Enquiries have established that a man was assaulted by another man, using a wooden object.
Both parties then left in separate vehicles.
Enquiries into the incident are ongoing. A small crime scene remains in place but roads are open.”
