Keith Prince re-elected as GLA member for Havering and Redbridge.
Conservative member Keith Prince has been re-elected as Havering and Redbridge GLA member. Mr Prince is a popular man across Havering seen often at many events, adding his voice of support.
He is hoping that this time round London Mayor Sadiq Khan actually listens to people and starts doing what he has promised to do.
He told the Havering Daily, “He has been a useless leader and a useless Mayor. I will be looking for him to take responsibility for Gallows corner and to deliver on Crossrail. He also needs to sort the housing mess out and knife crime. He needs to stop blaming others and take responsibility. So far he really hasn’t delivered for London.”
Mr Prince has been very vocal on the Mayor’s many failures and is hoping that this term, he will actually start doing what he has told Londoners he would.
Mr Prince is keen to get the Gallows Corner flyover finally dealt with. It is a temporary flyover that has been there for fifty years.
“I have been constantly asking the Mayor to sort this out. I have managed to secure extra government funding for it but it is a TFL issue. We also need proper signalling on the A12 and A127, all things I have been battling for.
“When Sadiq was first elected Mayor he came to Romford and we spoke about the issues that need to be worked on. But since then, nothing has been done and we have a Mayor that does not understand the needs of an outer London borough and we are often forgotten about.”
The former leader of Redbridge council, has worked closely with many residents in Havering and Redbridge and is hoping this term to keep doing the same and bringing extra financial support to the two boroughs.
Lest we forget the promises of the former vanity project Conservative Mayor, Boris Johnson, to have the improvements to Gallows corner completed by the spring 2016. So, Mr Prince, don’t let this one go. Let’s see if you really can get the current Mayor to make the changes needed at Gallows Corner, or are we still reading the hollow words of a Conservative?
John and I both voted for Sadiq Khan. John, voted for you again. After a lot of thought I did not. You got the previous UKIP support which gave you such a large majority. Assembly members earn a lot and I hope London improves over the next three years.
