‘Love and hardwork is the key to my success’.
To mark International Women’s Day, the Havering Daily spoke to one of east London’s most dedicated and hard working women who has given so much to her local community. Ripu Chhina and her husband Sunny own The Fat Pizza. Ripu has made it her mission to help those across not just London, but the country who need help to provide them with food whenever she can.
The Havering Daily has worked regularly with the Fat Pizza where they have provided many a free meal to those in our communities who need the extra help.
Ripu is a real community hero. She not only helps her husband run a successful business but also raises two boys aged 15 and 12 years old and supports her family.
Ripu told the Havering Daily: “I have been married for 16 years and I have spent my time looking after my family as well as my in laws and great in laws who were bedridden. My father was diagnosed with Parkinsons and then when he passed away my mother became ill, so I have been constantly looking after family members.”
Ripu works non stop and yet always manages to have a smile on her face and have time to support others.
“It is just now that I can start to go out and about,” she told the Havering Daily. “I’m proud of what I do and what I have done, it is important to do things for love. My motivation is love. The love I have for my family and making sure I keep everyone happy, that is what inspires me the most. “
Both Ripu and Sunny are two community heroes who never shy from helping those in need. They have provided the communities with many free meals, during times when things have been very tough for many families.
“Love and hard work is the key to my success. My father always told me that a man who hesitates is man who is lost, so I have never hesitated I have just got on with it and did what I had to do.”
Ripu you are an amazing lady!
