Nine year old Joshua Puncheon is quite a legend in Harold Wood. During lockdown, Joshua began cooking for his neighbours and sharing his food out amongst the community.

He soon earned the title of being the best junior chef in the borough! Everyday Joshua would cook for his community and locals had a smile on their face when they saw the youngster arrive with his delicious food.

Being quite the local celebrity, Joshua was asked by a volunteer worker at the Harold Wood Co-op if he wanted to join the Havering Mind campaign and cook some of his tasty food for charity.

Monica, Joshua’s mum told the Havering Daily: “Christina at the Harold Wood Co-op told us about the Mind campaign and asked us if we wanted to chose some free ingredients to make some food that will be auctioned off for charity.

“So of course we agreed and Joshua decided to make two foccaccia bread and a Danubio dessert and they are being auctioned off on the Harold Wood facebook page for Mind.”

Young Joshua spends his day in the kitchen cooking for his family and friends. Cooking is his main love and he dreams of becoming a chef one day!

Joshua and his delicious food!
