Dean sings his way through lockdown to raise money for charity.
Dean Weddon has been a lockdown hero. Originally from Harold Hill Dean has been singing every Thursday outside his home to raise money for the NHS and St Francis Hospice.
As lockdown began, Dean decided to cheer his community up and also raise money for the two charities.
He told the Havering Daily: “I have been singing outside of my house for the last twelve weeks now. I have also sung for VE Day and have done a few care homes to cheer the elderly up. I enjoy singing and get between 200/300 come and hear me sing.”
Dean used to sing in Las Vegas but now spends his time here singing locally to raise money for charity.
He continued: “Every week I hand out a bouquet of flowers out to someone who I feel has done something above the ordinary. It’s important to work with the community and support each other. I have also been getting local companies to sponsor me.”
Dean has so far raised £1500 for the NHS and £1150 for St Francis Hospice.
Well done Dean! Please see Deans donation page if you want to donate to these worthy causes.
