Upminster Floral Art Society celebrates 65 years of floral fun and friendship this year.

Members and visitors attended a delightful flower arranging demonstration by Susan Shaw on Wednesday 16th October. They received a 65th Anniversary Certificate from the National Association of Flower Arrangement Societies (NAFAS), which this year celebrated it’s 60th Anniversary with displays at the Chelsea Flower Show and their own Floral Art and Design Show in London.

The Upminster club hosts a new floral designer every month. Everyone is welcome to these relaxing and entertaining evenings at the New Windmill Hall. Raffle winners can even bag a fabulous flower arrangement to take home. Demonstrations are held throughout the year on every 3rd Wednesday of the month, except in December.

The 20th November event is ‘Joyous Noel’. Kathryn Stangaard will create some wonderful festive flower arrangements along with floral tales and tips. Kathy is a very popular local east London demonstrator with great style and flair.

Chair Margaret Reynolds and members of Upminster Floral Art Society celebrate their 65th anniversary.

This will be the end-of-year event with refreshments provided from 6.45 pm and the demonstration will start at 7.45pm.
