‘This new deal is not the clean break Brexit I have always fought for, but it may be the only life boat available to get us off the EU sinking ship by the end of this month’.
Andrew Rosindell, Romford MP today writes in the Havering Daily about the latest Brexit deal.
I welcome the progress that has been made by the Prime Minister. We were told that the Withdrawal Agreement could not be reopened and we had no choice but to accept the deal on offer by Brussels.
Boris has proved them wrong! However, this new deal is not the clean break Brexit I have always fought for, but it is heading in the right direction and may at this stage be the only life boat available to get us off the EU sinking ship by the end of this month.
I am nevertheless concerned that our friends in the DUP feel so let down and we must never do anything that might jeopardise the Union. I hope that reassurances can made to them by the Prime Minister over the coming hours so that we continue to stand together. It is of the upmost importance that we leave the EU on the 31st October, deal or no deal. We must restore faith in our democracy and respect the vote of 17.4 million people.’
