‘Suicide rates are forever increasing and you will never know when someone feels that low until it’s too late.’

Yesterday marked the start of mental health awareness.

Our mental health columnist Hazel tackles the issues related to mental health and how you can reach out and help someone.

Do you know someone with mental health disabilities? If so reach out to them this week. Tell them how much they are loved and what they mean to you. Simply talk.

If you don’t know some with mental health disabilities then make it your mission to find someone and help just by talking to them. You could be changing their lives. It’s easy to slide into a downward spiral but it’s not easy to get back up.

Suicide rates are forever increasing and you will never know when someone feels that low until it’s too late. Those thoughts take over your mind and you can’t think of anything positive. You simply need reminding that people love you.

I have had a tough few days and really struggled to get through. I needed my friends but felt like they were not there for me. I felt so alone and helpless.

We all need support and a shoulder to cry on from time to time. Be that shoulder, give that much needed hug and tell someone you love them.

HELP TO CHANGE SOMEONES LIFE!
