Could Your Dog Be Romford’s Next Best In Show?
Dogs and their owners are being invited to take over Romford Market Place for a day of competitions, treats and family entertainment.
Romford BID is bringing its Community Dog Show and Pup Up Café to the town centre on Saturday 19 September, from 10am until 4pm, outside Tollgate House.
Registration for the dog show will run from 10am to 11am, followed by judging between 11.30am and 2.30pm. Categories include Cutest Puppy, Golden Oldie, Best Rescue or Rehome, Prettiest Princess, Handsome Prince, Gorgeous Eyes and Fancy Dress, before the day’s Best in Show is chosen.
Entries cost £1.50 per category, with Romford BID saying all proceeds will go to Scruffy’s Angels, which helps reunite lost dogs with their owners and supports dogs needing new homes.

The free Pup Up Café will be open throughout the event, offering puppuccinos, dog treats, toys, tunnels, ball pits and taster agility activities. There will also be dog-themed photo opportunities and a hydration station.
Local dog-related businesses and exhibitors are expected to attend, while children can enjoy free face painting from 11am to 3pm.
“We’re really looking forward to welcoming dogs, their owners and families to Romford for what promises to be a brilliant day,” said Julie Frost, Director of Romford BID. “It’s a great chance to celebrate our local dog-loving community, have a bit of fun and support the fantastic work that Scruffy’s Angels do.”
The event is open to everyone, whether they are entering a dog, visiting the café or simply watching the competition.
