The Habbit Factory: Can Your Business Help Bring Pantomime Magic To Havering This Christmas?
Havering businesses are being urged to get behind a much-loved local charity as it launches a final call for sponsors for this year’s fundraising pantomime.
The Habbit Factory, a local charity supporting more than 600 children and young people every week, is looking for just three local businesses to become official sponsors of its 2026 pantomime.
With more than 1,000 audience members expected across six performances, plus a special press night, sponsors will have the opportunity to put their businesses directly in front of hundreds of local families during the festive season.
And the charity is asking local businesses to help make the magic happen.
For a £500 sponsorship, businesses will receive their logo on posters, printed programmes and digital marketing.
Last year, the charity’s marketing reached more than 8,000 local people, giving sponsors the opportunity to gain valuable exposure within the Havering community.
Sponsors will also receive mentions in press releases and across The Habbit Factory’s growing social media channels.
Businesses will have a dedicated table in the foyer at every performance, including press night, giving them the opportunity to promote their business directly to audiences.
There are also five complimentary tickets, worth £72.50, which can be used by staff, family members or clients.
And there is an extra opportunity for local food businesses.
Restaurants and food stores sponsoring the production can have a specific name mention written into the show itself, putting their business directly into the pantomime.
It costs £17,000 to put on
Behind the laughter, costumes and Christmas magic is a significant financial commitment.
The Habbit Factory says the pantomime costs around £17,000 to stage, excluding the time contributed by staff and volunteers.
The fundraising production will help cover essential costs including costumes for more than 25 volunteers, technology, lighting and venue expenses.
Most importantly, sponsorship will help the charity keep ticket prices affordable.
The Habbit Factory says pantomime plays an important role in keeping theatre accessible, inclusive and affordable for local families.
With the cost of living continuing to put pressure on household budgets, affordable family entertainment can make a real difference.
A chance for local businesses to give something back
The charity is now calling on Havering businesses to step forward and help make this year’s production possible.
With just three sponsorship places available, the opportunity is limited.
For £500, businesses can support a local charity, reach hundreds of local families and become part of a festive production that brings the community together.
Artistic Director Lee Giles is encouraging local businesses to get involved and help make this year’s pantomime a success.
Anyone interested in becoming a sponsor can contact The Habbit Factory at hello@thehabbitfactory.org to find out more.
For a local business, £500 could provide much more than advertising.
It could help put costumes on performers, lights on the stage and, most importantly, help ensure that children and families across Havering can continue to enjoy the magic of live theatre.
