Queen’s Hospital ‘Overwhelmed’ By Generosity As Handmade Donations Pour In For Patients
Handmade blankets, Christmas stockings, poppies and other gifts have been donated to help bring comfort to patients at Queen’s Hospital.
Staff at Queen’s Hospital have thanked members of the community for an outpouring of handmade donations which will help bring comfort and happiness to patients over the coming months.
The donations include colourful lap blankets, Christmas stockings and other festive items, Halloween creations and handmade poppies for Remembrance Day.

The collection shows the time and care people have put into making items for patients, with donations ranging from warm knitted and crocheted pieces to seasonal gifts designed to brighten hospital stays.
“Every single donation means so much to us. It is truly heartwarming to see how many people are willing to give their time, money and belongings to help others.”
Among the donations are red knitted poppies for Remembrance Day, festive decorations and carefully packaged handmade items ready to be distributed to patients.
“Your generosity will bring smiles, comfort and happiness to so many of our patients over the coming months. Thank you all so much. You are all absolutely amazing, and we could not do it without you.”
