Why Are People Happy To Discuss Animal Cruelty Until You Mention The Meat Industry?

In a world where you can be anything people choose to be unkind…..

Talking about animal abuse rightly upsets the majority of people. The Yulin dog festival, lost dogs, stray cats, homeless animals, or animals left abandoned normally triggers people off and rightly so.

Most want to rehome stray cats, homeless dogs and rescue animals, brilliant, exactly what we need. But just why does compassion stop there? How can we say all lives matter when we actively choose to harm animals everyday?

Romford saw its first vegan outreach event last weekend that was advertised in the Havering Daily. It was also shown in a live stream on Facebook. It received endless comments most of which were negative. People stated those highlighting animal abuse should get jobs, they all had jobs. That those there needed a shower, believe it or not, they were all clean people. Many were happy to state how they wanted to walk past those campaigning with a burger and even one dripping blood.

No animal throws itself out to be brutally slaughtered. No animal chooses to put into a gas chamber or into a grinder. The meat and dairy industry is cruel. The vision that these animals live out in the field and at the end of their time are used for food, is not true. The reality is animal cruelty. Animals are a commodity for people to use and abuse.

Have you ever heard a rabbit scream? Your house hold products or beauty products are tested on bunnies. Chemicals poured into their eyes or on their bare skin.

The details are too graphic to share.

So why are those who are the voice of the voiceless, ridiculed and laughed at? You love your pets, but that’s where it stops.

If you saw a horse running scared on the motorway-would you actively choose to hit it and kill it? A lamb thrown out of truck, would you choose to run it over?

Instead of insulting those who speak up for animals ask yourself why they are and just how predictable and stupid your meat eating comment really is.

For people interested in learning more-please see the video below. Note: It is very graphic content and contains extremely upsetting scenes which is just why these campaigners fight so hard.

Thank you for publishing this post. And a bigger thank you to the activists who gave up their precious time to do the outreach. The hypocrisy involved in animal abuse is shocking and the abuse outreachers get is not acceptable. Time to stop the senseless, cruel and unecessary exploitation of other living, sentient beings.

Well done to the activists for highlighting animal abuse to the public.People love their dogs and cats and hate any animal cruelty . But when cruelty in the meat and dairy industries is shown, people turn a blind eye , so hypocritical. All animals feel pain and suffer, just like us . There are so many delicious vegan options available now. 🌱

So so true and a daily struggle for all who choose not to participate in the animal agriculture industry. It would take so little for people to realise what they are blindly supporting – some behind the scenes footage on National TV would do the job. Knowing is one thing but actually witnessing is quite another. Great article 👏
