Fantastic Day of Action held by Havering officers.
Yesterday 21 March, saw a fantastic Day of Action held across Havering by a large team of police officers alongside Havering Council Enforcement Officers.
Street Duties officers were deployed with Safer Neighbourhood Officers along Farnham Road to support the Clear Hold Build initiative. These officers were within their first four weeks of training on East Area BCU, this included both trainee Detectives along with uniformed student officers who were supported by experienced officers.
Officers in Harold Hill were also joined by local community champion Jan Sargent.
High Visibility Patrols were completed and a drugs dog was deployed. Following the work in Harold Hill, the operation moved to Elm Park and then concluded in Romford. British Transport Officers and Revenue officers also assisted at Romford train station, alongside Havering Council Officers that patrolled within the vicinity.
Hall Mead teacher, Mrs Fanning said: “We took part in an initiative involving Havering secondary schools, the Metropolitan Police and a Drugs Dog unit worked together to demonstrate our collaborative and ongoing work to keep our students and community safe. The units were on site as students left school at the end of the day.”
The day of action resulted in the following:
28 Searches
5 positive for drugs
1 Traffic Offence Report
Revenue had the following:
13 Penalty fare notices
4 irregularity reports
Safer Schools Officers were also deployed outside Hall Mead School in Upminster where approximately 1000 pupils passed by the Drugs Dog with no positive indications.

So they were illegally stopping and searching minors without parents present because the school said it was okay? Where were the parents? Where they informed prior to this absolute violation of our rights and child’s safety knowing how terrible at dealing with anyone this police force is? What if children got hurt or bitten by a police dog? We seriously need to defund the police if this is what they focus on instead of the actual horrific crimes happening daily on our streets. Leave the poor children alone. Deal with the criminals.
