Officers are appealing for the public’s help to identify two women following an unprovoked assault onboard a bus in Newham.

At around 17:20 on Sunday, 28 May, a woman in her 60s was travelling on a route 108 bus when she was assaulted by two other women who poured a drink over her, before pushing her to the ground and repeatedly kicking her.

The victim suffered a broken nose, and she was taken to hospital for treatment.

The women got off the bus near Bow Church.

Detectives from the Met’s Roads and Transport Policing Command have carried out a number of enquiries and are now appealing for the public’s help to trace two women who were seen on CCTV onboard the bus.

Anyone who recognises them is asked to call 101 quoting CAD 5597/28May. You can also share information with us online and on Twitter.

Appeal to identify these two women.

So you’re just gonna ignore the fact that the “victim” hate crimes these poor hijabis and they were just defending themselves

You must have two brain cells fighting against each other Dave. To say these young girls look like “terrorists” just shows how pathetic and educationally underdeveloped you are. Media love moulding the ideology that Muslims are violent and aggressive and fools like you just keep feeding into it. If you take one of those brain cells and actually look into the situation just maybe you’ll understand that the young lady was acting in self defence. And if you look into Islam maybe you’ll grow a few more brain cells.

The attack was not unprovoked. The old woman tried to pull the girls hijab off and then proceeded to attack her using her pin from her hijab leaving the young girl with bruises all over her face. Western media once again trying to frame Islam in a bad light.
