Hornchurch residents celebrate the arrival of a new bin after a two year wait.
Residents living on Appleton Court in Hornchurch are finally celebrating the arrival of their new bin following a two year wait! The new bin arrived on Monday afternoon much to the locals delight, however, it is considerably smaller.
Those living on Appleton Court reached out to the Havering Daily to share with us their anger at having to wait two years for a bin, despite endless emails to the council for help.
The old bin had a hole at the bottom, which meant the rubbish would fall through onto the pavement leaving chaos across that was not only an eyesore, but also a health hazard.
Residents are chuffed with their new bin and one told the Havering Daily: “I encourage more people to keep chasing their local councils who frequently ignore us and keep making their voices heard!”
The new bin!
