VIDEO: Councillors tackle disgraceful rubbish on Gidea Park streets.
Squirrels Heath Councillors yesterday visited The Drill roundabout and its nearby streets to talk with local residents about the issues of rubbish being dumped in the area, broken bin bags and over flowing bins.
Councillors Christine Vickery, Keith Prince and Michael White walked along many local roads near the roundabout, engaging with locals on the problems they have faced with rubbish and litter.
Bin bags are dumped outside and their rubbish is then strewn all over the pavement. Residents have been walking their children across pavements covered in dirty nappies, old food, pieces of plastic and cardboard boxes.
Yesterday, Wednesday 17 May, the three Squirrels Heath Councillors spoke at length with locals and are working closely with Council officers, monitoring the situation to make sure the rubbish is cleared and the culprits are identified.
