There will be hardly anyone who has known any other Monarch and Head of State than the now late Elizabeth II. Compared to other countries with their various Presidents or Dictator Heads of State, the way she delivered her constitutional role brought stability and respect even amongst republicans.
The longest serving Monarch the country has ever had, sacrificed her life to a public duty few of us would ever wish to, or even could, emulate. I doubt we will ever see the same again. RIP.
