Wayne Lloyd-Smith has shared with Havering Daily readers his delight at the moment his son Aston met HM the Queen in 2015.
Mr Lloyd-Smith told the Havering Daily:
“I wanted to pay tribute to the Queen’s 70 years of complete and total devotion to the UK. She’s has been an icon and an immaculate representative of the UK, her warmth and kindness has been a credit to the nation.”
The local man also recalls how his son had informed his dad that he was due to meet HM the Queen for the 50th Anniversary of Barking and Dagenham, and that he did not believe him!”
“Ashton had told us he was going to meet the Queen and we struggled to believe him and thought he was just being an 8 year old telling fibs, until we saw these pictures. It was a very proud moment.”
