Saturday saw the launch of three fantastic community hubs open across Barking and Dagenham. “We have listened to the people”, were the words of Council Leader Darren Rodwell who was proud to attend the three launches across the borough.

These community hubs are there for the people and being run by the people. The Havering Daily attended the launch of the Marks Gate hub on Rose Lane where many locals came out to join in the celebratory activities and even enjoy a piece of cake.

The hubs will give locals the opportunity to share any council issues they may have and will also be a base for local police officers to report other concerns.

The Marks Gate hub also homes The Baby Bank HQ Cic that does amazing work across east London and Essex supporting local families.

These hubs are great benefit to the community and will provide a base for them to attend for a variety of reasons.
