East Area Safer Transport team undertake weapon sweep and remove potential weapon off our streets.

Yesterday, Tuesday 16 November East Area Safer Transport were in Elm Park with a group of volunteers including local councillor Stephanie Nunn.

The team under took extensive weapon sweeps in the area and located a discarded bag that contained a potential weapon that was safely taken off our streets.

Well done to our police for regularly engaging in pro active work to keep our streets and communities safe and to all the volunteers who also helped in yesterday’s event.
