Remembrance Sunday Services were held right across the borough yesterday from Romford where the parade was held, to Rainham where wreaths were laid at the memorial.
Hundreds of people came out to watch the special services and pay their respects to all those who serve and have served for us.
Coronation Gardens in Romford was full and hundred of spectators lined the streets to watch the parade go by. Due to the Covid restrictions none of these events were possible last year, so this year the community made up for it and came out in full force to pay their respects to all our veterans who made yesterday possible.
The ceremony in Coronation Gardens was presided by Father David Simpson from the St Edward the Confessor Church in Romford Market. Faith leaders including Rabbi Lee Sunderland from the Romford Synagogue also addressed the crowd.
Wreaths were laid by our local dignitaries and our Armed Service and Emergency Service Leaders.
