Fund raising events were held in Hornchurch over the weekend to raise money for a very special sausage dog named Reggie. Little Reggie, just one years old, was sadly paralysed in a hit and run incident seven weeks ago and now needs urgent operations to give him the possibility to walk again. His owner Issy and her friend Grace spent the weekend selling cakes in Fentiman Way car park to raise as much money as they can to help with his recovery.
Dachsund, or more commonly known as sausage dogs, came out with their owners across Havering to give their support to Issy and little Reggie over the weekend.
The hit and run accident has left Reggie with life changing injuries. He has fractured his ribs and spine leaving him paralysed. He now needs surgery, physiotherapy, hydrotherapy and a wheelchair.
Issy is hoping to raise enough money to help Reggie be able to under go his operations and recovery treatment to give him the chance to walk again.
Locals Jim and Joycee from Hornchurch who’s dog Connie was also paralysed after a hit and run accident came out to lend their support to Issy.
