VIDEO:’These parents just don’t care’-parking horrors on Globe Road.

Residents living on Globe Road in Hornchurch are fed up with selfish parents parking on double yellow lines and across people’s drive ways when they drop their children off at school.

Kenneth, who lives on Globe Road reached out to the Havering Daily after putting up with years of horrendous parking due to the nearby school.

He told the Havering Daily: “This has been going on for nearly ten years now, it really is a nightmare here.

“Cameras were installed on Benjamin Close to stop issues like these and all this has done now is moved the issue to us here on Globe Road. It really is horrific.”

Kenneth has reached out to Hylands Primary School to ask for help, but has not had any response from the school. He is now hoping local councillors for the area can help him and the other local residents resolve this nightmare.

“These parents really don’t care and are so selfish. They park anywhere they want regardless of other people living here.”

The problem starts just before 8:30 everyday and finishes just after 9am and then around 3pm until 3:45pm.

Kenneth continued: “We desperately need some sort of measure put into place to stop this. Local residents living here face this terrible situation everyday, five days a week.”

Good luck with that! Same problem in Hornchurch Heron Flight Close – dangerous parking, driving, rudeness and anger from parents towards residents. Constantly asked council for help and all they did was punish the residents by adding more yellow lines over our own garages and reduce parking. The School and Council do not care about the residents.

Like it around every school, we all went to a school in walking distance from home when I was at school, but now with everyone wanting a choice of school, a parent near a school has to drive to another because a parent from miles away has taken the space, so has to drive to get there, a self defeating system.
