A fantastic community event was held in Romford market yesterday Sunday 5 September, by Youth Unity CIC and Havering Council to say thank you to our youth for all the hard work they have done and the difficulties they have faced throughout the pandemic.

Shirley Jackson and her team at Youth Unity put on a special tent with lots of music acts and festivities to praise our youth and give them the opportunity to come out and enjoy themselves after all the restrictions they have faced.

Many music acts performed including the fantastic rappers ‘Tripletz’ who bought much needed enjoyment to our local community.

On a hot sunny day, everyone had fun and joined in the festivities.

Councillor Damian White, Leader of Havering Council was also present to personally thank our youth and well done to our local police officers who also joined in the fun.

Anti knife crime campaigner Courtney Barrett was also there to take the mic and engage with the youth.

Well done to everyone involved.
