Funding for Improvement, have your say.

Councillors Stephanie Nunn and Barry Mugglestone today write in the Havering Daily:

Elm Park is one of five town centres in Havering where residents will have had a leaflet put through their doors asking them to have their say on improvements to their town centre.

Havering is one of many councils to have secured funding via the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) to support the safe reopening of high streets and to put in place additional measures to establish a safe trading environment for businesses and customers and to develop recovery plans for their high streets.

Councillors Barry Mugglestone and Stephanie Nunn (who live in Elm Park and have also received a leaflet)  were previously invited to a meeting with the Havering town centres manager to “capture our views, ideas and opinions on potential future improvements that we would like to see within Elm Park town centre”.

We are active in our community, working with businesses and residents and welcome the injection of funding to continue our work in making our town centre a more attractive place to live, work and visit.

We think it is really important that residents and businesses of Elm Park give their views too, these will be co-ordinated by a company called Project Centre which will “deliver a comprehensive delivery plan to develop 5 town centres in Havering including Elm Park”.

WE DON’T WANT THIS MONEY WASTED – We are asking residents to please take the time to go online –www.consultprojectcentre.co.uk/havering or telephone 0203 092 040.
