Local mum to cut inches off her hair to raise money for The Little Princess Trust.
Rainham mum of two Fay Hough is going to cut inches off her lovely locks to help raise money for charity.Fay from Rainham was so touched by the tragic story of little Azaylia Cain, that she decided to do something worthwhile to help.
She told the Havering Daily: “I think Azaylia’s story touched all our hearts. I wanted to do something to help but I felt so helpless. Then I decided to cut my hair off.”
This way Fay is not only raising money for the Little Princess Trust but also donating her hair to help make a wig for children who need it.
“My hair currently measures at 72cm in length when straightened. Like the rest of the nation I have followed the journey of Azaylia Diamond Cain and am heartbroken to hear of her passing. I know hundreds of families are battling similar if not the same devastating illness and I want to give back. My hair will grow again, but the impact a new wig can make for a child who has lost her hair is priceless.
“Not only do I want to donate my hair, I want to raise money for The Little Princess Trust so they can continue the phenomenal work they carry out daily.
“I would like to thank Bernice from Shapes Hairdressing Salon in Dagenham who will be cutting my hair – free of charge! I will document the haircut and provide pictures of the hair being posted.”
Well done Fay for being a real community hero!
