Man’s body found yesterday in Romford believed to be missing Ricky.

The body of a man believed to be the missing Ricky Wellington was found yesterday afternoon in a grassed area near Crow Lane.

Police searches had been going on last week looking for Ricky who was last seen on January 22 in Urban Avenue, Hornchurch.

Ricky was believed to have had epilepsy and did not have his medication with him.

His sister Kimberly wrote in a facebook post last night: “It is with great sadness to confirm Ricky’s body was found this evening. He is no longer out in the cold and is now at peace. We will miss him dearly and really wish we could have found him alive.”

A spokesperson for the Met Police told the Havering Daily:

“At around 14.10hrs on Monday 1 February the body of a man was found in grassed area near Crow Lane RM7. The family of Ricky Wellington has been informed. We await formal identification.
The death is being treated as unexplained.”
