The Harold Wood Primary Parent, Teachers Association has collected food from 90 houses across Havering to donate to the Smile Charity.
The team of ladies got together to embark in this community project to help the Romford based charity to support those who are struggling.
Michelle Gubbings told the Havering Daily: “We got together as a group of parents to do something during these difficult times to help the community. We are a strong community here in Harold Wood and we like to do projects like these, to help those in need.”
The mums collected tins of food, packets of pasta and other non perishable items that they were able to hand into to Smile who help those who struggle.
Michelle continued: “The group consists of myself, Aysha, Lindsey, and Leigh and together we like to help where we feel help is needed in our community.”
During the last lock down, the Harold wood mums collected toiletries and other such goods to help the staff at our local hospital.
Well done ladies for being community heroes!
