BREAKING: Cyclist dies in collision along Barlow Way, Rainham


Police are appealing for witness or dash cam footage following a collision this afternoon along Barlow Way in Rainham.

Sadly a cyclist has died on scene despite efforts by Emergency service workers including the Air Ambulance.

A Met Police spokesperson told the Havering a daily: “Police were called by London Ambulance Service at 15:04hrs on Tuesday, 19 January to reports of a road traffic collision at Fairview Industrial Park, off Barlow Way, Rainham.
Police, LAS and London’s Air Ambulance attended.

“At the scene a male cyclist, no further details, had been in collision with a lorry.
“The cyclist had sustained serious injuries and despite the efforts of medics, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
“Enquiries are underway to trace next of kin.

A scene and road closures are in place. Motorists are advised to avoid the area if possible.”
