VIDEO: Gidea Park Co-op offers free delivery for those in need and care packages for hospital.

Since her arrival at the Gidea Park Co-op, store Manager Claire Saunders is turning the shop around to make it an integral part of the community.

Claire is not only the store manger but also a pioneer who believes in working with the community and embarking in new ventures to go that step further than others do to help.

Starting yesterday the Gidea Park store are offering free home delivery for those who need the help and can not get out to get their shopping.

Claire told the Havering Daily: “For the next four Wednesday’s working alongside Mitie the official Co-op security team, we are offering a free home delivery service for people that need that extra bit of help.

“We are supporting the vulnerable in delivering their shopping home and also delivering care packages to hospitals and care homes and anyone who has asked for our support.”
