On Friday the Havering Daily started a campaign with the help of The Fat Pizza in Elm Park to feed children receiving free school meals during the half term.

Over the weekend we were contacted by the owner and Chef of Da Vincis restaurant in Station Lane, Hornchurch, informing us that they are offering free food parcels this half term for children receiving free school meals.

Owners Craig and Annelisa Kavanagh have stepped up to the mark to help local children and are community heroes.

Annelisa told the Havering Daily: “We are a struggling business with a young family and are managing but we know of many people who are really finding it hard at the moment.

“It’s doesn’t take much to help others and every little bit helps. We are doing this for half term and probably for Christmas too. That extra bit can help.”

If you would like receive a free food parcel from Da Vincis in Hornchurch please call the restaurant on 01708 474054.
